Inspiration.

Stephanie Wood Ennet and Mary Cecelia Piper, co-founders of Studio West Dance Academy and Theatre, were inspired to create an event that would directly give back to their community. In 2008 Dance to Make a Difference was born! Today, DTMD brings together the most talented performers across Puget Sound who literally dance to make a difference. This year proceeds from their performances go directly towards helping South Puget Sound families in need and the dancers contribute year round by volunteering at Homes First and Family Support Center.

Dance to Make a Difference is an annual event sponsored by The Studio West Dance Guild, a 501(c)3 Corporation. The Studio West Dance Guild supports dance students and families by providing supplemental dance and education opportunities; families by sharing advice from experienced parents; the greater community through outreach, networking, and exposure to the arts; and raising philanthropic funds for local charities.
